All Safesite® Chests have a durable 16-gauge body and lid. All welded steel construction is protected by a superior UV-protected powdercoat finish inside and out to stand up to weather and abusive conditions. Recessed handles on sides and lid eliminate any protrusions that could be damaged during transport. Extra thick .25” tangs welded to inside of lid, securely interlock into dual internal recessed padlock pockets for maximum protection from bolt cutters. Heavy-duty 12-gauge runners allow the cabinet to be forklifted. Quality is backed by Five-Year Limited Warranty. The general storage compartment is protected from unauthorized access by recessed padlocks; while the high security compartment is accessed via a second lockable door with a special 3-point latching system. The high security compartment helps protect against theft of valuables such as two-way radios, specialty tools, multimeters, and other handheld test instruments.
